Interim and Crisis Management

BRG provides interim management, such as chief restructuring officer (CRO), and surge resources during times of crisis or uncertainty, supporting stability and leadership when it is needed most.

Interim Management Roles (C-suite)

BRG’s experienced, dedicated senior professionals support clients in interim C-suite and other management roles to stabilize, transition, and/or improve each client’s unique situation. Serving as management, we take leadership roles to drive successful outcomes or supplement capabilities to provide support through critical events. We act as force multipliers, quickly entering demanding situations to fill key roles and leverage existing resources to enable success.

Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO)

During restructuring and bankruptcy situations, BRG serves as CRO to fill management gaps as an interim resource while supporting the board of directors (BOD) and management team in making critical business decisions. The CRO handles restructuring-related initiatives to provide executives with the bandwidth to focus on day-to-day operations. As needed, the CRO will supplement with BRG resources to provide surge support. While providing leadership and perspective throughout the process, the CRO works with stakeholders to develop or refine a go-forward plan, ultimately leading to emergence or transition.

Typical priorities for a CRO include:

  • Surge management and BOD support
  • Restructuring plan development
    • Identify optimal restructuring path (in and out of court)
    • Drive restructuring initiatives
    • Evaluate business and determine priorities
    • Lead and assist in negotiations with various constituencies
  • Implementation and execution
    • Execute business plan
    • Refine long-term strategy
    • Develop transition plan
    • Manage liquidity and ensure capital resources to execute transition
