What We Do

BRG Healthcare professionals provide analysis of health policies related to Medicare, Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, and other state and federal programs. Our work includes legislative policy development, policy strategy development, payment system design, reimbursement analytics and rate development, and program evaluation. We work with clients to address regulatory and compliance requirements and the financial and operational impact of proposed policy changes to help them succeed as healthcare policy and healthcare practice changes.

To develop actionable insights, BRG’s Healthcare Policy practice relies on seasoned consultants with expertise in the legislative and regulatory process and operational experience implementing a range of health policies at healthcare companies. Our professionals have served as policymakers for Congress, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and state governments; and have held executive positions at pharmaceutical manufacturers, health plans, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), and healthcare providers.

Our team employs a data-driven approach to addressing health policy and healthcare transformation issues by harnessing and unlocking the power of information generated in the healthcare system. We license and maintain a broad range of government data (including the CMS Innovator data) and a commercial payor database that includes adjudicated (paid) claims. By integrating these data with proprietary data, we generate unique insights that help clients succeed in the fast-moving healthcare policy and business environments.
