Measuring Employee Pre-Shift COVID Screening Time
Many organizations have put in place measures to screen hourly employees for COVID symptoms before the employees clock-in for work. These measures can include activities such as answering health questions, disinfecting hands, and checking temperature. If it is determined that these activities are compensable, it often is necessary to know the frequency and duration of these activities to ensure employees are paid appropriately and/or to address legal challenges.
