Dr. Stuart Miller has over a decade of experience assisting attorneys and clients in the evaluation of damages in litigation disputes in the areas of general commercial litigation, intellectual property (IP), bankruptcy, and class actions.

He has been retained as an expert and has provided testimony in state and federal court. His industry experience includes automotive, consumer products, consumer electronics, financial services, oil and gas, medical devices, pharmaceutical, software, and telecommunications.

Dr. Miller has evaluated damages in the form of lost profits, reasonable royalties, unjust enrichment, and disgorgement. He also has evaluated economic issues in claims for injunctive relief and has analyzed IP damages in numerous engagements involving patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and fraud, as well as copyright and trademark infringement. Dr. Miller is experienced in evaluating commercial damages such as those arising from breach of contract and tortious interference claims. He has also evaluated commercial success in ANDA matters.

Dr. Miller has assisted colleagues in BRG’s International Arbitration practice in the calculation of damages. He has done so in jurisdictions including the International Chamber of Commerce, Southern District of New York, and Southern District of Florida.

Dr. Miller is well versed in lost profits in breach of contract disputes under Texas law and has presented on this topic. He is a member of the American Economic Association, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and Licensing Executives Society and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Dr. Miller is fluent in Spanish, proficient in Portuguese, and has a master’s degree in Latin American studies.
