Sohael Qayyum

Sohael Qayyum is an associate director in BRG’s Asia-Pacific Cyber Forensics and eDiscovery practice based in Perth, Western Australia. He has over twenty-five years of experience in eDiscovery, both in a technical capacity and as a consultant.

Mr. Qayyum focuses on assisting clients with eDiscovery, computer forensics, and legal project management in the context of disputes and investigations. He is highly proficient in leveraging legal technology software in the eDiscovery process. In addition to being a Relativity Certified Expert, he is also a Certified Specialist of Brainspace Admin/Analytics, and is proficient in tools including Nuix Discover, iCONECT, EDT and Concordance.

Prior to joining BRG, Mr. Qayyum was head of consulting in Western Australia at one of the largest eDiscovery providers in Australia and the UK, in addition to other senior roles in legal technology companies, where he focused on document collection and review, eDiscovery consulting and project management.

Mr. Qayyum is Member of Steering Committee for Relativity APAC User Group. He actively speaks, moderates on and conducts trainings for industry panels and conferences related to eDiscovery. He has written articles on specific aspects of eDiscovery, including active learning and eDiscovery project management.
