Phil Hurd

Phil Hurd has over thirty years of experience including CBO development and management and billing outsourcing, hospital and physician organizations, billing office management, accounts receivable recovery, budgeting and financial management, revenue cycle, and strategic planning and product line development.

He also has experience with physician practice development, coding, and compliant billing audits.

Mr. Hurd is frequently retained to advise clients in reimbursement and coding compliance matters and has conducted numerous assessments and audits concerning coding and billing compliance in litigation matters. He was the lead support to counsel for a large national class-action lawsuit regarding the billing, documentation, claims edits, and claims adjudication for physician and chiropractic services.

Mr. Hurd earned his master’s degree from Duke University and is a Certified Compliance Professional (CCP) and Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
