Paul French
Paul French provides expert witness, litigation support, and computer forensic consulting services.
Mr. French has consulted in private-sector electronic forensic matters since 1999 following a thirteen-year career in the US Air Force. His military training and experience led him to become a seasoned investigator, fulfilling diverse roles in the areas of felony criminal investigations, counterintelligence operations, antiterrorism training, and forensic computer analysis. After leaving the Air Force, Mr. French joined one of the pioneering companies in the field of digital forensics, spearheading large-scale electronic discovery engagements for law firms, Fortune 1000 corporations, and government entities across the globe.
Mr. French’s experience includes planning and executing large-scale, complex electronic collections and investigations. His body of work covers matters related to spoliation, theft of intellectual property, Securities and Exchange Commission violations, data tampering, and employee/employer misconduct. Mr. French has authored over one hundred custom software utilities to convert, search, analyze, and present data from a variety of platforms. He is also well versed in reverse-engineering proprietary data systems tied to legal disputes.
Mr. French has provided expert reports and declarations, as well as verbal testimony in depositions and court proceedings. He has presented at conferences, CLE sessions, and corporate retreats. He has also appeared on television and in print to educate professionals and consumers on information discovery and protection.
