Matthew McSheaffrey
Matthew McSheaffrey is an expert witness and associate director in BRG’s Disputes and International Arbitration practice, based in the firm’s London office. He is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Mr. McSheaffrey focuses on the valuation of businesses and the quantification of damages, generally in a litigation context. He has testifying experience as a valuation expert witness and has led the financial analyses and prepared expert witness reports in some of the world’s largest and most complex commercial disputes on engagements for BRG experts who are recognised as global thought leaders in the Who’s Who Legal guides.
Mr. McSheaffrey’s experience includes litigations across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America, with a broad coverage of sectors including oil and gas, financial services, industrials and real estate. He has assisted counsel and experts at hearings before the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), the High Court of Singapore and the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands.
Mr. McSheaffrey also has acted in a consulting capacity for engagements relating to transactions advisory (Europe), valuations and damages (Asia and North America), settlement negotiations (Europe) and strategy consulting (North America).
