Chap Kistler is a managing director in BRG’s Retail Performance Improvement practice. He brings more than thirty–five years of experience helping boards, private equity firms, and executive teams realize improved operational performance.
Mr. Kistler has worked in global companies helping improve revenue, quality of revenue, operational performance, and Eastern and Western hemisphere sourcing strategies.
He has advised on global logistics and distribution operations on six continents, inventory planning and rightsizing, store operations (4-Wall EBITDA), indirect procurement, owned/contract manufacturing, and relationship improvement with merchandising and product development. He has achieved rapid revenue, cost, and quality improvements while simultaneously improving financial and customer key performance indicator (KPI) measurements.
Mr. Kistler has worked with management teams, board members, and equity sponsors in a variety of situations, including serving in interim management roles and leading critical transformation programs. His experience has been balanced across healthy, challenged, and distressed client situations.
Before joining BRG, Mr. Kistler held leadership roles at AlixPartners’ Retail practice, was a member of Crocs’ executive leadership team, and ran his own performance improvement advisory firm. Previously, he was a consulting partner at CSC, E&Y/Cap Gemini, and Diamond Technology Partners.
