Briannon Tunstall advises executive management and general counsel on a variety of strategic business and operational issues in the life sciences industry.
Ms. Tunstall is an associate director in the BRG Health Analytics practice. Since joining BRG in 2015, she has focused on assisting pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical wholesalers, and pharmacies facing litigation, compliance issues, disputes, investigations, and regulatory concerns.
Ms. Tunstall has conducted compliance assessments related to investigations by the US Department of Justice, Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General, Environmental Protection Agency, and other governmental bodies. She has provided substantial support in the remediation of compliance concerns relating to operational aspects of compliance program development, management, and oversight, including compliance program design, implementation, and evaluation measures. Ms. Tunstall has managed and conducted third-party due diligence on behalf of large medical device companies to ensure compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other anti-corruption and anti-bribery laws. She also has managed business advisory projects, including monitoring divestitures of products in various industries on behalf of the US Federal Trade Commission.
Leveraging her experience as a former Pennsylvania Supreme Court clerk, Ms. Tunstall has provided support in litigation matters involving, among other things, the interpretation of licensing and development contracts relating to pharmaceutical and medical device product development, deal structures, fiduciary responsibilities and shareholder disputes, securities disclosure, adequacy of internal controls, and pharmaceutical preclinical and clinical development and commercialization.
