Bill Orrell, MBA, MSN, RN has more than seventeen years of clinical, managerial, and consulting experience in healthcare.
His operational consulting experience includes clinical labor and productivity, performance improvement, and clinical redesign based on quality and performance benchmarks and industry best practices.
Mr. Orrell also has experience in clinical supply-chain performance improvement, strategic planning, physician-hospital alignment, documentation integrity, and developing and implementing standardized policies and procedures.
Before joining BRG, Mr. Orrell was a director with global management consulting company, where he was responsible for labor-workstream project management, implementing labor cost reductions, productivity monitoring, and daily staffing tools at community hospitals and academic medical centers. He focused on clinical labor and productivity in inpatient nursing, perioperative services, cardiology, and the emergency department. He was also previously a clinical senior associate in the healthcare advisory practice at a large professional services firm.
Mr. Orrell’s clinical experience includes more than seven years in the emergency department and trauma before his consulting career. He has also worked as a clinical instructor in medical/surgical and critical-care settings.
