Dr. Ai Deng has nearly twenty years of experience and has advised clients in some of the largest cartel, market manipulation, and monopolization cases over the past decades.

Dr. Ai Deng focuses his practice on economic consulting, academic research, and project management. His experience spans industries including advertising, high tech, finance and commodities, auto parts, real estate, publishing, chemicals, vitamins, digital platforms, and energy. Dr. Deng has worked with the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CTFC), and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on issues such as financial market manipulation and merger investigation.

Dr. Deng’s research interests include econometrics, predictive analytics, causal inference, and the intersection between technology (artificial intelligence and blockchain) and antitrust.

Dr. Deng is an external expert and grant reviewer for the Romanian National Council for Scientific Research, a lecturer at Johns Hopkins University, and an editor of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Antitrust Source. His research on statistics, econometrics, fraud detection, damages estimation, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and collusion has been published in academic and professional journals and edited books. He has refereed for a number of academic and professional publications.
