Adina Claici
Dr. Adina Claici is a competition economics expert whose background combines consulting experience, academia, and nearly a decade at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition (DG Competition).
She specialises in mergers, antitrust, and state aid cases. She also provides clients with insights concerning competition policy and regulatory developments in the EU and has supported the European Commission in European General Court hearings related to mergers and state aid.
Dr. Claici is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars and is named among global leaders in competition economics by Who’s Who Legal. She has been published in numerous academic journals and authored several book chapters. In addition to her consulting work, Dr. Claici is currently a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe as well as at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics.
Prior to joining BRG Dr. Claici was a principal at an economics consultancy’s Brussels office. Before that, she gained valuable experience at DG Competition, where she was a senior member of the Chief Economist Team and served as the coordinator for the European Competition Network of Chief Economists.
Dr. Claici is fluent in Spanish, French, English and Romanian.
