Abigail O'Connor
Abigail (Abby) O’Connor is an associate director in BRG’s Forensic Accounting practice and is based in Colorado.
Ms. O’Connor is an experienced forensic accountant who specializes in calculating and analyzing economic damages in commercial litigation. She works extensively with law firms as a consultant and testifying expert. She has been retained on a variety of cases, including forensic accounting matters, lost profits, partnership disputes, theft of trade secrets, breach of contract, personal injury, wrongful death, and wrongful termination claims.
As an expert, Ms. O’Connor has testified in a jury trial involving felony charges of theft, cybercrime, identity theft, and forgery. Her work on this case included uncovering a fraudulent scheme that showed the perpetrator had absconded with more than $700,000. She has also testified in civil matters as a qualified expert.
Ms. O’Connor has investigated a wide variety of business fraud matters, including financial statement frauds, accounting irregularities, construction matters, and asset misappropriations.
Ms. O’Connor is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified in Financial Forensics, and Accredited in Business Valuation.
