BRG is home to renowned thought leaders and experts considered authorities in their fields of work. Our timely research and perspectives provide analysis and insights on the most important issues facing the industries and organizations we serve.
Global Competition Review (GCR) ranks BRG in the GCR 100 and in its Economics 23 (formerly Economics 21), which highlights the world’s top competition practices. BRG has been recognized for ten consecutive years for its “outstanding US-based competition economics practice,” which is supported by teams in Canada, Latin America, South Africa and the UK.
“We are honored to be recognized for our antitrust economics expertise,” said BRG Executive Chairman David Teece. “BRG experts leverage a deep understanding of actual market behavior with relevant economic theory and sound empirical research, contributing to important and impactful antitrust work.”
BRG’s economists provide counsel, corporations and governments with assistance in litigation and arbitration, mergers and acquisitions, and agency competition reviews. The practice has expanded significantly over the last two years, with notable senior hires including Managing Director Michael Williams and a group of leading academics, including Luke Froeb joining in 2020, and James Langenfeld joining in 2021. They augment the firm’s capabilities in matters of antitrust and industrial organization and non-antitrust commercial litigation.
GCR notes BRG’s performance in matters before the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the US District Court for the Western District of Missouri, the US Department of Justice and the Competition Tribunal of South Africa in litigation, advisory and merger control matters.
