Intelligence That Works

BRG today announces that it has been ranked fourth in Global Arbitration Review’s (GAR) Expert Witness Power Index for 2022. The firm, which also posted a “standout” average claim value of US$603 million, submitted 60 percent more hearings to the survey year on year, with its experts handling a combined quantum of damages in excess of US$27 billion last year.

Santiago Dellepiane, co-chair of BRG’s Economics and Damages practice, commented, “I’m delighted with BRG’s ranking in this year’s Expert Witness Power Index and would like to thank all our professionals and clients that have helped us to achieve this result, reflecting the market’s continued confidence in the strength of our offering, including deep industry expertise in energy, construction and infrastructure disputes, as well as in financial economics and valuation of complex assets.”

BRG also performs strongly in the “reputational clout” success factor. The guide cites the “very healthy percentage” of BRG experts ranked in Who’s Who Legal Arbitration (GAR’s source for this factor) who also are classed as Global Elite Thought Leaders, including:

  • Daniela Bambaci, a “very versatile” expert who “has the ability to be a valuation expert across different sectors, understanding the nuances of each industry”
  • Richard Boulton, who “is among the leading quantum experts in international arbitrations, without question”
  • Santiago Dellepiane, who “is the best in the field”
  • Mustafa Hadi, who “is highly intelligent, a master of his subject and very detail focused”

BRG also achieved a record ranking in the most recent edition of Who’s Who Legal Construction with 11 experts ranked, including the following Thought Leaders:

  • Jas Cheema, who “has great analytical skills and clear methods of presentation”
  • Michael Kenyon, head of BRG’s EMEA Construction International Arbitration group, who “is very good, extremely no nonsense” and “gives a very balanced view”
