BRG is pleased to announce that Managing Director Robin Cantor has received the Society for Risk Analysis (SRA) Outstanding Practitioner Award for 2022.

The SRA is a multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, scholarly, international society that provides an open forum for all those who are interested in risk analysis. Dr. Cantor is a past president and fellow of the SRA. She received the Outstanding Practitioner Award based on her achievements in science and public policy relating to risk analysis and substantial service to the SRA. This award typically alternates between recognizing public and private practitioners.

Dr. Cantor said, “This award means a great deal to me. I have always enjoyed and greatly respect the Society for Risk Analysis and my colleagues there. The field of risk science is more important today than it has ever been. The world is a complicated place and getting more complicated every day. We learn more about risk every day, and serious and rigorous analysis of risk is incredibly important to make good decisions.”

Dr. Cantor, whose consulting practice focuses on economics at the interface of science and technology, co-leads BRG’s Class Action Litigation and Environmental Advisory services. Earlier in 2022, she was named among Women We Admire’s list of Women Leaders in the Washington, DC, area; and, in 2021, she received an Excellence in Leadership Award from Consulting magazine for her efforts to grow the next generation of consulting leaders.
