BRG Welcomes Ken Van Liew as Associate Director in Construction Practice

BRG announced today that Ken Van Liew has joined the firm’s Construction practice as an associate director in New York, where he will advise clients on high-stake disputes, construction projects, and real estate developments.
Mr. Van Liew brings over four decades of experience as a builder, owner-representative, engineer, and construction manager to the role. He specializes in expert witness testimony, risk mitigation, claims management, project management, and quality-control issues.
“Ken’s ability to work with owners, contractors, and legal professionals throughout the entire lifecycle of their construction projects—and any disputes that arise—will add immense value to our team,” said Richard Fultineer, leader of BRG’s Global Construction practice. “His expertise in dispute resolution, forensic analysis, and risk management will enhance our ability to optimize performance and minimize risk for clients.”
A licensed engineer, Mr. Van Liew leverages his technical expertise to help clients navigate disputes and high-impact construction and real estate initiatives in sectors ranging from mission critical and healthcare to higher education to commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.

Mr. Van Liew earned an MS in real estate development from New York University and another in civil engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York and New Jersey.
