BRG Continues Expansion of Global Construction Practice with Senior Trio of Delay Experts
BRG adds managing directors in Dubai with a focus on construction delay claims.
BRG today announced Aidan Coyne, John Fletcher and Sharon McGahey have joined the firm’s Global Construction practice as managing directors based in Dubai. All three are senior testifying experts on issues of delay, disruption and acceleration before arbitral tribunals and in mediation and adjudication, with over 70 years of combined experience in the construction and contracting industry. With project experience covering infrastructure, oil and gas, energy, shipping, building (commercial, residential and mixed-use) transportation, water and desalination, healthcare and utilities, the group’s remit will primarily cover matters across Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Before joining BRG, the three experts worked together in leadership roles for a major consulting firm. The new appointments come as BRG continues to expand its regional and global construction capabilities, with further hires expected to be announced through the next year.
Commenting on the new hires, Michael Kenyon, a managing director in BRG’s Global Construction practice and head of the firm’s Dubai office, said: “It’s great to welcome Aidan, John and Sharon to our team, with their delay experience significantly boosting our combined construction offering to our local and international clients. I look forward to announcing further developments in due course.”
Coyne said: “Joining BRG is an exciting step for me at this stage of my career. The firm has ambitious plans. I look forward to serving both existing and new clients in the construction disputes market and to working alongside BRG’s highly regarded construction expert services practice.”
Fletcher added: “I’m delighted to join BRG at such an exciting time and be a part of the firm’s growth story. The opportunity to collaborate with familiar faces and contribute to building a powerhouse expert services offering is really motivating. Our combined experience in the construction and delay space greatly compliments BRG’s well-established offering, and I look forward to providing excellent service to our clients with their programming- and delay-related needs.”
McGahey commented: “I’m thrilled to have joined such an innovative and dynamic organisation. Its commitment to growth and market leadership aligns with our focus and goals. I look forward to working with the impressive team as we grow our collective practices and continue to deliver exceptional value to our clients.”
