Japan Energy Summit 2024

On June 4, Christopher Goncalves took part in the session “Transitioning to a Decarbonised Energy System.” Panelists provided insight into emission-reduction strategies in key Asian markets, the impact of cross-border collaboration and regulation on future initiatives, and how technology can make carbon-neutral liquefied natural gas (LNG) viable.

Also on June 4, Phillip Solomon moderated “Making Net-Zero Possible with Cost-Effective CCUS.” Panelists discussed how collaboration, incentives and technology innovations are reducing the cost of carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) and enabling significant emission reductions in hard-to-abate sectors, as well as new opportunities emerging in the circular economy.
